Great news from Cristy who was one of last year's contestants and received an Honorable Mention for the Coffee Shop Poems she submitted:

I loved being involved in the Coffee Shop Author Contest last year and wrote poetry at the Pelican Rouge. Some days I also worked on my YA novel, "In The Clear", which I just learned will be published by Orca Books for the Fall of 2011. I recently finished the proofs for my first YA novel, "Benched" to be released by Orca in March 2011. Thanks Coffee Shop Author for your support and the encouragement of a writing community!
