KENNETH RADU
I had the great honour of attending a reading by the award winning Canadian author, Kenneth Radu last night. He read from his latest offering of short stories, Sex in Russia.
I sat mesmerized in The Pelican Rouge coffee shop in White Rock listening to this extraordinary writer. Thank the God I do not believe in that he (or more likely she,) made sure there were copies of the book on sale.
Actually, the Literary Committee and The Semiahmoo Arts Council take care of that.
I now have a signed copy of my very own!
Shelley, the owner, of the small café, opens her doors after hours for both monthly OPEN MIC readings and periodical READINGS BY THE SALISH SEA.
The Semiahmoo Arts council, in conjunction with Canada Council for the Arts, sponsor writers to come from all across Canada to read in this little literary desert. (A slight exaggeration.)
Open Mic is open to all local writers who wish to share their work in any genre. Except in April, which coming once in twelve, is POERTY month, and we will hear some wonderful local poets again this year I am sure.

Howdy lover of air, runner of mountain paths.
Hey girl,
I haven't read the whole book of short stories yet, but the ones I read had no sexual content at all. The story SEX IN RUSSIA, is about a woman who is obsessed with sex, but I haven't read it, only previewed it.
I will let you know more after I read it if you would like.
BRRRR -10º here on the coast!
I really hate that.

Sounds like you had an awesome evening.
Through your words, I can feel your excitement of having Kenneth Radu's company. Is the book about sex? Does it have explicit sexual content? Just wondering.
A good evening to you, Jaw.
