The accident

Pain sears in my legs, I am face down on the pavement. A tall, thin man lays on the grassy side. I am crying now. The man struggles to his feet. He walks over to me. I can see his white and blue runners. Are you alright lady? He asks. In shock, my voice is faint, blood runs down my forehead onto my hands and face. I taste the coppery, bitter, blood in my mouth. I tried to alert you he says. My thousand dollar bicycle is wrecked he says as he bends to pick it up off the ground, the front wheel mangled. Walking over to me,he bends to try and help me up. My legs won't move, the pain is excruciating. My legs are broken I cry. Should I call an ambulance? He asks. By now a crowd has gathered. I want them to go away.......this accident didn't happen. I was crossing a bike path without looking. A screech, a curse, oh no you don't he says as he steers his bicycle, just missing me. I felt it all happen. In light of the possible crash, always look before you cross a bicycle path. A lucky break for me. I give thanks all the way home....

Aware

Always good to be aware of your surroundings.

Especially, as you seem to be spending time in the seedier parts of the city.

I am researching for one of my novels

Only went there to feel the aura. Once was enough. Heading back to the mountains next week. It's been a huge slice of reality. Cheers
